President Roh Moo-hyun visits Hanoi for ASEM
President Roh Moo-hyun is in Hanoi, Vietnam, for the 5th Asia-Europe Meeting, which takes place on Friday and Saturday.

During the regional summit, the President is expected to focus on promoting South Korean business interests. The President also plans to appeal for support from the 39 member-nations for peaceful efforts to resolve nuclear tensions on the Korean peninsula.

On the sidelines of the meeting, President Roh will hold talks with German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and other EU leaders. After the two-day conference, the President will stay in Vietnam for three more days to continue his "economic diplomacy." He has summit talks lined up with Vietnamese President Tran Duc Luong. Roh is also expected to ask Hanoi to help South Korean firms make further inroads into the Vietnamese market.
