DNA Test Proves Children Separated at Birth are Brother and Sister
A DNA test conducted on two children who were said to take after each other in a home for missing children revealed that they were really brother and sister.

In September 2001, a newborn boy was left in one childcare center in Daegu. 2 years after, in November 2003, a girl who seemed to have been born about 3 days previously was found and moved to the same center. For this reason, the two children happened to be in the same place and were raised with 100 other children.

After a while, something unusual happened. As the newborn girl grew up, she started taking after the boy. What was more intriguing was that she had the same habits of sucking her fingers and sticking out her tongue, so people joked, ¡°Aren¡¯t they really brother and sister?" In the meantime, the police started a project of searching for missing children last April by inspecting DNA. The care center requested that the police compare the two children¡¯s DNA and the results from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation proved that they were really brother and sister.

Since this care center accommodates children who are under the age of 3, the brother was to be moved to another center this September. An official from this center said, ¡°When the sister turns 3, we will move her to the same center where the brother would be and register them as brother and sister.¡±
