52-year-old Christopher R. Hill took over his new post as U.S. Ambassador to Korea on Thursday. In a statement announced at Incheon International Airport, Hill said he would work to maintain and improve the over 50-year-old special relationship between Korea and the United States. Hill will meet with Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon next week and present his credentials to President Roh Moo-hyun early next month.
