¡°Even though wild ginseng is good for health, it will not be effective if you are under heavy stress after you ate it. I don¡¯t want to put pressure on him any more,¡± said Kim Kyu-yong. Kim has been suffering from severe disappointment after he found Friday morning that his 150-year-old wild ginseng worth more than W55 million was stolen from his backyard. Kim received W25 million in damages from the man who ate the wild ginseng, and appealed to the police to release the man. The 33-year-old man, identified as Lee, was a guest of Kim¡¯s lodge.
Kim is a famous veteran ginseng digger in Gangneung and Chuncheon. Kim said, ¡°The owner of wild ginseng is not the person who dug it. How can I receive the price of wild ginseng which was already eaten?¡± comforting himself.
¡°Since I dug the wild ginseng with my two colleagues in June, I have never slept easily. I checked to make sure the ginseng was OK three times or five times a day. Now, I feel rather unburdened.¡± Kim praised the mysterious effects of wild ginseng. He said, however, that Lee might not clearly feel the immediate effect of wild ginseng because he is young. ¡°Usually, 150-year-old wild ginseng is valued at least W55 million. Recently, someone wanted the ginseng for W45 million,¡± said Kim.
