The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade appointed Wi Sung-lac as the political minister of the Korean embassy in the United States. He is a former policy coordinator of the National Security Counsel. Wui joined the ministry in 1979 and served as the chief of the ministry¡¯s North American affairs bureau and Eastern Europe affairs bureau, and an assistant of a Foreign Minister.
