Sudden attention is focusing on rumors that Hollywood star Nicolas Cage, who was widely expected to marry Korean-American Alice Kim later this year, may have a new lover.
On Wednesday, someone posted pictures of Cage on a date on a yacht with another young lady on an Internet site with the Korean portal site Daum. The picture was entitled, "Nicolas Cage's New Girlfirend."
The picture, which is drawing an explosive amount of Internet attention, has no further explanation other than its title, so there is debate as to the authenticity of the photo.
Korean Internet users are scolding Cage for his infidelity, leaving responses like "It will be hard for Alice Kim to get married now," and, "Poor Alice Kim."
Besides the woman indicated as Cage's new love, there are two boys also on board the boat; all are brightly smiling as they enjoy sun tanning and swimming.
In what appears to be a recently taken photo, there is no sign of Kim, who was always tagging with Cage, amplifying suspicions that the couple have indeed split up.
Since meeting Cage in an LA sushi bar in February, Kim has followed the actor around like a shadow. With his divorce to ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley finalized in May, there was hope that the two would get married soon.
It was a fact, however, that people have been saying that when you look at Cage's past, which is littered with endless rumors of love affairs with other Hollywood stars, his relationship with Kim would end as nothing but an empty fling.
Besides his official record of two divorces and one broken engagement, Cage has enjoyed romances with Angelina Jolie and Lisa Ling.
