Ahnlab Inc, the nation¡¯s largest computer security firm, said Wednesday that it has formed a strategic alliance with Cloudmark of the U.S. to enter the global anti-spam software market. With the agreement, Ahnlab plans to accelerate its foray into the overseas market like the U.S. and Japan through development of comprehensive computer security products by combining Cloudmark¡¯s anti-spam technology.
As a first step, Ahnlab is expected to have its comprehensive security product ¡°Ahnlab Gatescan¡± equipped with an anti-spam engine in the second half, and later expand it to other security solutions to make a further foray into local and overseas anti-spam markets. Founded in Silicon Valley of the U.S. in 2001, Cloudmark is recognized for its technological prowess in Spam DNA, which is used to identify Spam intelligently.
