It took some time, however, before his body was finally placed where his family was waiting because there was some confrontation between the police and some civic groups that oppose the troop dispatch. Kim¡¯s father cried, ¡°My son Sun-il, you came back dead after all.¡±
Government Administration Ministry Security Policy Director Choi Jong-man, who represented the government, said, ¡°We will compensate the family and provide as much honorable treatment as much as we can. After concluding negotiation for the compensation and treatments, we will discuss the length of the funeral and the place for his burial.¡± The family revealed some of Kim¡¯s personal belongings including a guitar, clothes, a CD player, a Bible in Arabic and English, and some English texts.
