The U.S. cable news network CNN reported Wednesday, citing sources from the U.S. Defense Department, that when the body of Kim Sun-il was discovered, it was rigged with booby traps.

According to the sources, Kim¡¯s body seemed to have been thrown from a car and was discovered beheaded. The U.S. military first found a body thought to be that of an East Asian 35km from Baghdad in the direction of Fallujah at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday (Korean time) and contacted the Korean military. An official from the Korean Embassy in Iraq and president of Gana Trading Kim Chun-ho confirmed the body was that of Kim Sun-il.
