¡°I want to dance (with Bush) so much as to get thirsty...¡±
TOKYO -- Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said June 8 (local time) using this unusual expression to convey North Korean leader Kim Jong-il's wish for bilateral dialogue with the United States, press reports in Japan reported Saturday, quoting the Prime Minister.
President Bush rejected North Korea¡¯s offer, saying it has to be a six-party talks. The Asahi Shimbun reported that Koizumi¡¯s determination to act as the diplomatic bridge between the United States and North Korea failed as Bush rejected the offer. Even if Koizumi tried to persuade the United States, Bush would not have had consented all the same, Asahi reported, quoting a Japanese source of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
