"A spy?" Actress Jeon Do-yeon revealed her harrowing experience of being accused of being a spy.
Jeon has spent the last six months shooting her latest film "Mermaid Princess" (Korean: Ineo Gongju) on U Island, off Jeju Island. During her stay, she was mistaken as a spy by local islanders and questioned by police.
Jeon normally enjoys going for strolls, so when she wasn't filming, she liked to stretch her legs walking about the island. The problem was that the islanders were not used to seeing a young woman like her around.
Villagers on the island began looking askance at the woman loitering around their island wearing a jump suit, baseball camp and sunglasses. Moreover, because Jeon liked to listen to music through earphones as she walked, she would not respond when called, and villagers finally called the police.
A police car was dispatched that caught up with Jeon, but being lost in her music, she couldn't even hear the police calling her.
