The Grand Prix at the Tokyo International Animation Fair 2004 went to a Korean animation called "Africa." Dongwoo Animation's "Africa" secured the award after competing against animations by some 160 companies from the world over.
A ten-minute film "Africa" depicts the struggle of African children in hunger and poverty by showing how they overcome their hardships toward a better future. The fair kicked off its four-day run on Thursday.
