Korean-American golf prodigy Michelle Wie has been chosen for the U.S. Curtis Cup team, making her the youngest player to enter the amateur match between the United States and England. The 14-year-old¡¯s entry breaks the record set by Laura Baugh, who was 16 when she was selected for the team in 1972.

Jane Park, another Korean-American golfer, also has been chosen for the squad.

This year's Curtis Cup is to be played June 12 and 13 at the Formby Golf Club on the Lancashire coast of England.

Meanwhile, Wie, playing in her second men's event of the year, made the cut in the Hawaii Pearl Open by shooting 4-under 68 Saturday (local time) to finish two rounds at 2-under 142. She was tied for 35th, along with five other players.
