An Internet site featuring nude photos of Japanese actress Yu Min (Japanese name: Fueki Yuko), which was down for a while due to traffic overload, has been reborn. And this time, it is to have videos.
The advertising company for the film ¡°Sinseolguk (Japanese title: Shin-Yukiguni)¡± which stars Yu, said that the movie¡¯s Korean Web site was not functioning due to unexpectedly high traffic from Internet users. The company has now switched to a high-capacity server. The Korean homepage for the movie ¡°Sinseolguk¡± (www.sinseolguk.co.kr) received 400,000 visitors in a two-day period -- way beyond its server¡¯s capacity -- crashing the site completely.
According to the advertising company, additional features -- including a video file service are to be added to the new and improved homepage.
Most of the problems affecting the ¡°Sinseolguk¡± homepage, however, were expected.
Internet users were drawn to the crashed site¡¯s ¡°nude gallery,¡± which displayed still shots from Yu¡¯s love scenes in the film. Moreover, rumors that the pictures of the actress required an adult verification check in order to be viewed sparked even more curiosity. Yu is often called a ¡°pure beauty¡± and was the object of controversy earlier this year because of her nude photographs.
Some worry that even the second server could crash as well due to traffic congestion, as Internet users rush to see the video files of Yu¡¯s love scenes that are to be available through the site.
