Kyoyuk Munhwa Hoekwan in Yangjae-dong Nov. 19~23
Magic is the entertainment flavor of the month, which is convenient, because a worldwide magician is coming to Seoul. Jeff McBride, the most famous of Sin City¡¯s card tricksters, is coming to town to perform magic shows in Korea for the first time.
McBride will also be teaching a crash course on the tricks of his trade. The "Jeff McBride Magic Concerts" will be held from Nov. 19 to 23 in the main theater of the Kyoyuk Munhwa Hoekwan, in Yangjae, Seoul. The magic school will be held before the performances, between Nov. 15 and 18.
McBride, who is also an educator of magicians at the Disney Institute, will offer a Magician Class (Nov. 15, 16 in the Sookmyung Women's University Renaissance Plaza, November 23 in the Kyoyuk Munhwa Hoekwan in Yangjae, Seoul), and a Masters Class (Nov. 18 in the Sorak room of the Ritz Carlton Hotel). Magic doesn¡¯t come cheap, however: fees for learning magic in the Magician Class are W200,000 per person, while the Masters Class, which provides one-on-one guidance, charges W1 million per person. The relatively high fees hint that the courses are more appropriate for professional magicians than for amateurs.
