The teenager Ahn Shi-hyun on Sunday maintained her three-stroke lead in the final round of the CJ Nine Bridges Classic on Jeju Island to win the $1.25 million Ladies Pro Golf Association tournament. Ahn won with a 12-under-par 204.
Although Ahn, 17, is not a formal member of the LPGA, by winning this event she has automatically qualified to participate in all LPGA events, excepting major events restricting eligibility, for the next two years. So she has won entry into the U.S. tour events in one breath.
