The Korea News Editors Association on Monday criticized the Cheong Wa Dae chief secretary for public relations, saying that he had infringed upon press freedoms by rejecting an interview request from the Dong-a Ilbo.
The association said that Cheong Wa Dae was undermining the function of the press to check political power. The association also demanded that Cheong Wa Dae reverse its rejection and stop reacting emotionally toward the press.
