The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said Thursday that press interviews during its office hours will be prohibited. A ministry official said that the government had forbidden ministry officials to meet with reporters during office hours, and asked that reporters comply with the rule.
The official explained that President Roh Moo-hyun was firmly determined about the matter and emphasized that interviews will only be possible over the phone or outside the offices. The ministry's decision is expected to spread to the rest of the ministries as well.
