Pyongyang is insisting that Japan should not raise the abduction issue at the six-way talks to resolve the nuclear crisis, the Russian news agency Itar Tass reported this week.
Sources close to Pyeongyang's Foreign Ministry have warned that the abduction issue would mar the six-nation dialogue, Itar Tass said. North Korea admitted last year that it had abducted many Japanese to use to train its spies, confirming claims Tokyo had been making for years.
