Bring US Troops Home
To the Editor,

Since it appears that South Korea has put North Korean agents in charge of your country, I just mailed my representatives in Congress. I expressed to them my personal desire to get our servicemen out of Korea. Further I expressed my desire to stop all military aid to South Korea. I can see the case for defending Japan, the Philippines, and Taiwan - but not South Korea, not anymore. After observing the way South Korea has behaved during the recent Olympics, World Cup, and after the deaths of these two girls - I've come to the conclusion that South Korea is unworthy and not worth saving.

The good book says "No greater love hath a man than to lay down his life for a friend"; 50,000 Americans did exactly this during the Korean conflict. Not to mention the millions of Americans who were separated from home and loved ones while standing watch on the DMZ over the last 50 years, who stood between South Korea and the Devil. America stood in the breech for South Korea when no one else in the world could have cared less what happened to your country. And America performed that charitable action without expectation of anything in return. The sight of South Koreans desecrating the same American flag that draped our hero's coffins, the same flag that was presented to their grieving parents, wives, and children who's sons, husbands and fathers died defending you is unbearable. Those protesters are without honor or shame.

As you can tell, I'm angry at South Koreans, both those protesting and those tolerating it. I think South Korea behavior has been childish, immature, boorish, and worst of all ungrateful. Further, if the South Korean government intends to have a policy allowing North Korea to build and use nuclear weapons, I don't want US Servicemen in the middle. We should withdraw and allow South Korea to suffer the consequences of that policy alone. The stupid shall be punished.
