President-elect Roh Moo-hyun met with President Kim Dae-jung at Cheong Wa Dae, Monday for the first one-on-one since the December 19 election. The two had lunch together and to discussed administrative transfer issues, as well as recent developments on the peninsula.

The outgoing president congratulated Roh on his victory, while sharing his experiences as the head of state for the past five years. On North Korea Kim and Roh are expected to examine how North Korea's move to remove UN surveillance equipment will affect security on the peninsula as well as Washington-Pyongyang relations.
