The December 19 presidential vote is now less than a week away and on Friday marking D-6, Lee Hoi-chang of the Grand National Party wooed voters in the southeastern port city of Ulsan, where he also held a press conference on North Korea's latest decision to scrap the 1994 Agreed Framework with the United States.
Main rival Roh Moo-hyun of the Millennium Democratic Party meanwhile is set to tour the metropolitan area this afternoon, with National Alliance 21's Chung Mong-joon by his side for the first time. Earlier, the two men reportedly agreed on a joint campaign and on ways to cooperate in carrying out future state affairs if Roh is elected president.
Meanwhile, Lee and Roh have agreed to hold a one-to-one TV debate possibly as early as Saturday morning on Roh's campaign pledge to move the nation's administrative capital from Seoul to Chungcheong Province.
