Kim Young-kyu of the Socialist Party of Korea sought support from workers in Yesan and Asan of Chungnam Province, promising to make them core members of society. The nation's former intelligence chief, Chang Se-dong hit the streets in Bupyong and Incheon and vowed to boost the quality of life for the low-income bracket.
Buddhist monk Kim Kil-su, meanwhile, kept his public activities to a minimum to prepare for the 100 minute TV debate starting from 11:10pm.
