Major Candidates Resume Campaigning Nationwide

With exactly 15 days to go before Koreans pick their new leader presidential hopefuls are back on the campaign trail after wrapping up round one of the three-part TV debate. Having overcome the first crucial hurdle Tuesday evening in the form of the 'on air' debate among major contenders for the nation's top office, rival camps hit the streets again on Wednesday.

Grand National Party candidate Lee Hoi-chang's agenda for the day includes a trip to Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province with a speech aimed at garnering the support of the younger adults in the area. Residents in Incheon are also slated to a similar address later in the afternoon.

Meanwhile the pro-government Millennium Democratic Party began the day earlier with rallies in downtown Seoul including a stage at a popular shopping district, as well as a press conference with members of the foreign media to make clear Roh Moo-hyun's policies for the future.

Kwon Young-ghil of the Democratic Labor Party traveled down south, with hopes of securing the favor of nationals in Daejon and Daegu.
