Seoul metropolitan government decided to give away the 8,500 sets of national flags hung in the downtown area during the 2002 World Cup to anyone applying for them. The sets comprise one flag with the logo for the event and the flag of one of the participating countries.
Sangam Stadium reopens on August 1 and admission will be W2,000 for adults and W1,000 for children under 13 and the elderly over 65. The stadium will also be transformed to a cultural and athletic complex for people to enjoy dining, movies and shopping at the same time by May 2003.
Alongside, large discount store, a fitness center, multi cinema, wedding hall, sauna, banks, fast food court, restaurants and coffee shops will be constructed. The local government has selected business operators for nine facilities, and will choose the multi cinema operator in a second bid by the end of this month.
