North Korea's Central Broadcasting Station aired the 2002 World Cup quarterfinal soccer match between the United States and Germany on June 25, following the first ever broadcast of a match involving South Korea on June 23. Commentators noted that Germany attacked the US side, which it considered weaker than itself.
