W6.2 Billion Secured in FIFA Dividends

The Korea Football Association said, Thursday, with the country gaining a berth in the quarterfinals, it has secured a total of SF7.9 million, or some US$5 million worth in FIFA dividends. Korea's soccer governing body said the country was able to obtain some US$3.7 million from FIFA, after the national team pulled through three first-round matches and a single second-round match. The KFA adds it will receive another FIFA dividend of around US$1 million for the upcoming match against Spain.
