Moment of Truth Dawns for National Team
Team Korea faces Portugal in a crucial match, Friday that will decide whether the national squad makes it into the second round of 16. The match is scheduled to be hosted in the western port city of Incheon, at 8:30pm. Despite the foreign squad's fifth position in global soccer ranking, confidence is running high among members of the national team, partly fueled by head coach Guus Hiddink's optimism with regards to the upcoming duel.

Presently, the co-host shares the top spot with the US team in Group D, with four points each from one win and one tie. The home team, however, holds a goal difference advantage meaning it only requires at least a tie with Portugal to proceed to the second round. Portugal, meanwhile has so far secured three points.
