Seoul Promotes Culture on World Cup Match Days
To promote Korea¡¯s traditional culture to foreigners coming to the Sangam-dong World Cup Stadium, Seoul local government will hold a cultural event called 'Wonderful Seoul,' Thursday, when Turkey plays China, in five places from 12:30pm-2:30pm and 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Programs include the king's royal carriage procession of Chosun Dynasty, Namsadang games, exhibitions of Taekkyeon and on-hands experience events such as fan dancing and Korean traditional games. There will also be a kite-flying event with large kites of all 32 World Cup participant countries and face painting.

On June 25, when a semifinal match is held in Sangam-dong, there will be traditional folk performances of the countries playing that day and cheerleading troupes. (Choi Won-seok, yuwhan29@chosun.com )
