Federation Francaise de Football (FFF) is promoting ticket sales to the French match with Uruguay on June 6 by installing a box booth in Busan. Inspired by successful on-the-spot ticket sales for the Korea-Poland match, FFF has set up a ticket office at the lobby of Haeundae Grand Hotel Monday. FFF's marketing manager said that the organization is selling leftover tickets from sales in France with permission of FIFA, adding that showing the French soccer in an empty stadium is a shame.
After securing seven third-tier tickets from the last-minute sale, Busan resident Oh Bong-geun said he had naturally assumed that all games were sold out, but now he is glad that he can now enjoy live soccer with his family.
Interpark, a KOWOC proxy agency for domestic ticket sales, said that some 15,000 tickets to the France-Uruguay match are still remaining, calling for local residents' support.
