Seoul to Host Original Chinese Cuisine Shows

Seoul metropolitan government announced Wednesday it would host a 'Chinese Mainland Food Expo' in Harimgak, Jongno-gu and 'Food Court for Four Chinese Great Dishes' in Jin Beijing, Seodaemun-gu, from May 21 to June 30. For the Chinese food show, 38 selected chefs in China will visit Seoul from May 20 bringing authentic Chinese ingredients and spices.

A total of 120 kinds of rare and exotic dishes from four provinces; Jilin, Liaoning, Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia; will be showcased at Harimgak and visitors can order Chinese home style basics, or special dishes. During the show, Harimgak is running four booths presenting cuisine from Bejing, Xiuchen, Shanghai and Gwangdung, food classes and special demonstrations.

A total of 40 Chinese original provincial dishes will be offered at the food court in Jin Bejing. Prices range from W5,000 to W10,000.
