The Korean Organizing Committee for the 2002 World Cup finals announced Wednesday that team specific tickets (TST) for watching a country's three opening matches are still available despite some online stores indicating they are sold out. TSTs were selling at the FIFA online ticket site (www.fifa-ticket.com) as of Wednesday 5pm.
On the Internet, clicking on tickets for China's games produces a sold-out message, but a person can still buy a ticket for specific matches against its opponents through applying to the relevant country site.
These TSTs are tickets for overseas sales that FIFA directly sells regardless of football associations in each nation, KOWOC and its Japanese counterpart. KOWOC officials said, unsold tickets may be due to the difficulty of buying online or a lack of PR activity by FIFA.
