The National Police Agency announced Thursday that police from fourteen of the 32 nations competing in the World Cup Finals will be dispatched to Seoul during the games for joint hooligan control with the national force.
Some one to three policemen specializing in hooligan suppression will be deployed from each country two days before the country's matches, and each foreign officer will be in charge of hooligan control in a team of three with two Korean officers. Denmark, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Slovenia, Ireland, England, Italy, China, Croatia, Turkey, Portugal, Poland, and France will send officers.
A police agency source said that the foreign officers will monitor football fans from their countries from arrival to departure, and will team up with Korean police force in quelling possible disturbances.
Moreover, NPA obtained the list of 890 radical hooligans from some countries, and banned their entry into the country until the end of World Cup.
