The Financial Supervisory Service announced Wednesday that insurance packages for possible terror acts against World Cup Stadiums and other facilities will be on sale starting from mid-April. In the case of a terror attack, the insurance policy covers up to W20 billion for property damage and W80 million for loss of life.
Insurance companies will sell joint World Cup terror provisionary insurance packages, as an individual company cannot afford individual coverage.
The FSS said that 1,147 major facilities nationwide, including ten World Cup stadiums, can buy the policy, adding that the insurance coverage plan has been developed in order to establish social stability at a state level. It is the first insurance package ever for terrorist acts.
