The government will not alter the framework of its macroeconomic policies although there has been a flood of claims that the economy has set into an overheated growth stage.
Deputy Prime Minister Jin Nyum said Thursday that it is still premature for the government to overhaul its key economic policies, considering the current economic development.
Jin said that he saw signs of heated growth in certain sectors, such as the real estate market, but other major sectors have not yet reached a stage of excessive growth.
The government will wait and see if any measures against an overheated economy are required in the future.
According to the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Jin's remarks suggest that the government will move ahead with its existing policies aimed at pumping up the economy for the time being, including spending the bulk of the budget for this year in the first half and maintaining the low money rate.
