Student Protesters Refuse to Cooperate with Police

Gangnam police filed arrest warrants for three men in their 30's and 40's who were among 28 student protesters detained for vandalizing the AMCHAM offices in Seoul. The remaining 25 have refused to cooperate with police giving false names. Six other students detained after attempting to enter the Boeing Corporations offices also are refusing to divulge their identities, police said.

The Korea International Trade Association said Wednesday it was deeply concerned with replacing glass worth W250 million broken on the 45th and 47th floor by the protesters and special police' some 154 panes. KITA added that its insurance firm said the damage was not covered in its policy because it was not a natural disaster, adding it would not charge AMCHAM.

Police said the US Embassy has demanded the identities of the protesters so that it can bar them from entering the United States. The embassy unofficially considers the protest as relevant to terrorism.
