Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade spokesman Shin Jeong-seung announced Saturday that the country welcomed the launch of a new temporary government in Afghanistan after years of unrest in the country.

Shin said that he hopes Afghanistan will be able to quickly establish a democratic government approved by the people and promised that Korea would do its part, along with other nations, to help the country get back on its feet.
