Relief supplies for Afghan refugees are to be transported to Afghanistan for first time since the US-led war against terrorism began, Korean Air announced Thursday.
The government will supply war refugees in Afghanistan with some 100 tons of relief goods through the United Nations Children's Fund, transported by one of the national carrier's cargo flights. The goods include heavy winter clothing, underwear, blankets and some nine other necessary items.
The cargo plane carrying the aid will depart Incheon International Airport at 5:00am Sunday, and the relief goods will be transported overland to Afghanistan from Mashad Airport, Iran.
