The US ambassador in Seoul welcomed North Korea's decision to enter international anti-terror treaties. Appearing on a television program on YTN, Ambassador Thomas Hubbard urged North Korea to join the worldwide campaign against terrorism. The communist state has said last week it will sign a UN treaty designed to block financing for terrorism and also a 1979 international convention against hostage taking. These measures are seen as Pyongyang's efforts to get off the US list of states sponsoring terrorism.
