President Kim Dae-jung expressed full-fledged support for the US-led military campaign on Afghanistan according to Presidential Spokesman Oh Hong-keun who said Tuesday that in a phone conversation with US President George W. Bush, the same day, President Kim noted South Korea, a key ally will spare no effort in cooperating with America's war on terrorism.
Kim also expressed hope for a chance to meet with Bush as soon as possible to discuss Seoul's plan to dispatch a medical team and transport planes to the Middle East. The two leaders are scheduled to hold talks during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum in Shanghai next weekend.
