Washington presented the Korean government with conclusive evidence that the terrorist attacks on Washington D.C. and New York City on September 11 were the work of Osama bin Laden’s al Qaeda network on Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT).

Evans Revere, US diplomatic minister to Korea, visited Choi Sung-hong, the vice minister, on Wednesday afternoon to deliver the results of a background investigation related to the terror attack. MOFAT announced the involvement of Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda, and liaisons between al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan, have been proved in the process of investigation, and it is concluded that Osama bin Laden’s terrorist organization was behind the September 11 attack.
