The Pusan Asian Short Film Festival will be held for five days from May 25 through May 29 at venues including Kyungsung University's Concert Hall, Multimedia Small Hall, Small Theater and the Cinema Tech. The film festival organizing committee stated it will increase the number of films by more than 20% and plans to show 35 Korean short films, 35 Asian invited pieces and 15 Korean videos. Besides the films, sessions with directors and seminars will be given on technical details involved in the production of short films.

The committee will accept applications until the end of March for works completed after April 2000, videos, movies shorter than 40 minutes, documentary films, animation and experimental movies. It is also seeking volunteer workers to help with the office work, promotions, manage the theaters, do interpretation and work as online reporters.
