Korea Hits Deepest Winter

    The morning temperature dipped as low as -16 degrees Celsius on Monday as a cold air mass flowed in from the north.

    In Seoul the mercury fell to -9 degrees in the morning.

    The Korea Meteorological Administration said the arctic snap is expected to last until the latter half of this week with morning temperatures between -16 to -2 degrees, while the daytime highs will hover between -3 and 7 degrees.

    Strong winds will make it feel even colder.
