A six-month time limit has been imposed on vaccine passes from midnight Monday so anyone who has failed to get their COVID-19 booster jab in that time frame will be barred from facilities that require them.
According to health officials on Sunday, the vaccine passes now expire 180 days after the 14th day following the second jab, or the sole one in case of Johnson & Johnson. In other words, they expire for anyone jabbed before July 6 last year, or about 4,000 people. But a booster shot will renew them immediately.

The ban covers mostly crowded places like movie theaters, museums, indoor gyms, bath houses, study rooms, Internet cafés and private crammers.
Solitary diners in restaurants are exempt. Fines will be imposed after a one-week grace period.
On Monday morning, the daily tally of new coronavirus infections stood at 3,129 with 1,015 severe cases.
