Some 137 trails in national parks across the country will be closed for a month from Monday due to the risk of wildfires, the Korea National Park Service said Sunday.
Of all 611 national park trails, 109 will be completely closed and 28 will be partially closed due to wildfire and other risks.
That includes some of the most scenic trails like the ones between Baekdam Temple and Daecheongbong Peak on Mt. Seorak and between Yoryong Rock and Hwagae Ridge on Mt. Jiri, where hikers have been enjoying the last of the autumn foliage at this time of the year.
