The number of incoming and outcoming passengers at Incheon International Airport is finally picking up, thanks to eased social distancing measures.
The Incheon International Airport Corporation said Friday that the number of passengers in August came to 338,000, up 44 percent on-year. It is the first time in 16 months that the number of monthly passengers surpassed 300,000.
The figure was 287,000 in September, 46 percent higher than the same month last year.
Korea is preparing for a gradual return to normal amid the endemic coronavirus.
