This year's full harvest moon will rise at 6:59 p.m. on Chuseok night or Sept. 21 over Seoul, the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute said on Tuesday.

It will reach its apex at 1:01 a.m. that night.

According to the institute, the moon will rise first at 6:49 p.m. in Ulsan, at 6:50 p.m. in Busan, at 6:52 p.m. in Daegu, at 6:57 p.m. in Daejeon and the administrative city of Sejong, at 6:59 p.m. in Gwangju, and at 7 p.m. in Incheon.

"The moon we'll see on Chuseok night will be a slightly waning moon and 99.7 percent full over Seoul," a KASI spokesman said.
