Hwang Hee-chan Scores in Debut EPL Match for Wolverhampton

    Hwang Hee-chan of Wolverhampton Wanderers scored on his debut in the English Premier League on Saturday against Watford.

    Hwang took to the pitch as a substitute in the 63rd minute and played in the left wing position. Wolves took a 1-0 lead thanks to an own goal by Francisco Sierralta in the 74th minute, and Hwang doubled the lead in the 83rd when he converted a rebound after a defender blocked Marçal's shot, becoming the eighth Korean player to score in the EPL.

    Hwang joined Wolverhampton from RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga at the end of last month.

    In Spain's La Liga, meanwhile, Lee Kang-in also had his debut with RCD Mallorca over the weekend.

    Lee, who joined the club from Valencia CF, came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute against Athletic Club on Saturday. Mallorca lost the match 2-0.
