The leaves will change into their flaming autumn colors slightly later than usual this year, starting at the end of this month on Mt. Seorak.

According to forecast provider K-weather, the leaves will start to change color from Sept. 28, a day or two days later than the past average due to this year's prolonged summer heat and seasonal monsoon. Autumn colors can first be seen at Mt. Seorak in Gangwon Province, moving south at a speed of about 20 to 25 km a day.

Southern regions should be able to enjoy the fall foliage between Oct. 12 and 21.

The peak is usually about two weeks after the first autumn leaves appear.
