Actress Park So-dam will promote Korea's performing arts to international audiences, the Korean Tourism Organization said Monday.
The KTO said Park's global recognition through her appearance in director Bong Joon-ho's Oscar-winning film "Parasite" will help increase interest in Korean plays and other performances among foreigners and boost tourism.
Park will participate in various promotional activities and events including a festival to promote Seoul's major theater district, Daehakno.
She will host the opening ceremony of the festival, which will run both online and offline from Sept. 27 to Oct. 29.
